DETROIT MOSQUE:
The mosque hides below ground, peaking from the ground at certain points to
light the space underground to give a buffer from the city. Using the five pillars
of Islam as a central concept, the building was divided into 5 main corridor
that refer back to the pillars. The front facade and the patterns designed manipulate the
way the light enters depending on the season.
